This week, I would like to appeal to all music lovers and non music lovers to discourage PIRACY.
Please do not encourage piracy by buying or selling pirated music albums.
Piracy kills music companies. Music companies invest lakhs and crores of funds, to release the albums. Not just that, a lot of hard work is behind every album that you listen or watch. If the required sale is not obtained from these albums, then its very difficult for these companies to survive in long course.
Whenever there is a theft or dacoity in any house or any place, then there is lot of hue and cry in the society. Media also highlights that. But, not in the case of piracy. Piracy is also just equal to any robbery or theft. Piracy, in fact is more dangerous than robbery.
Therefore, it is humble appeal to all music lovers not to encourage piracy. You may get a pirated CD for a few rupees/dollar less. However, you may not get the same quality that you would get from the original CD.
Why does Mahageeta Music stress so much on quality? Why do we wait for months together to get dates for the best artistes? Why don’t we compromise?
The answer is the complete faith of Mahageeta patrons in our products – the trust that they have in our company, which in turn is because of the quality of music that they have been used to from us.
Most of us get disturbed when we hear loud, jarring music. However, all of us get angry when we know that someone or some company had the potential to produce more quality music, but did not, only because they compromised due to some or the other reason. We do not want to compromise in any way with our quality. Our aim has been and will always be to produce superb quality music that you will love to hear again and again.
I’m pleased to inform you all that I got a wonderful opportunity to serve our veteran music home – All India Radio, Archives (South), Hyderabad.
Let me describe the job:
In the Archives department of All India Radio, there are thousands of old recordings of the music maestros preserved in the spool tapes (an old format in which sound was recorded and played back on spool players). Today, that format is obsolete and we don’t find them at all in the market.
My job was to refurbish all those old recordings, transform them into a Compact Disc format, make good inlay cards and pack them to be made available for sale to all the music lovers. All such refurbished albums are available for buying at all the All India Radio station premises.
I’m trying to give the best output possible from my end, for the mother of music-All India Radio.
Some of the albums available in CD format are:
Surya Stuti,
Narayana Teertha Tarangalu,
Rajani Patalu,
Kanya sulkam (Play),
Ganapathy (Play),
Varavikrayam (Play),
Siva Stuti,
DevulaPalli Krishna Sastry Lalitha Geethalu,
Bhakti Geethalu,
Ramadasu Keerthanalu,
Bhajagovinda Slokalu and many more…
Interested people can buy these albums at the AIR premises.
